Erik looked down, refusing to meet the other’s gaze. “…your point?”
Charles shook his head. “There’s no point…I was only stating a fact. Erik we may not get along but I would be nice to see you once in a while.”
Erik turned to his friend, his eyes forlorn. “Charles, you know it’s safest for you as long as we’re apart. I’m sorry, but it’s for the best. I wish there was another way, but…well…we both decided a long while ago that there wasn’t.”
